Who is Julie Fay?

I’m approaching 5 years of conducting UX research for the state of Georgia’s CMS system, GovHub, which services 80+ state agencies.

Just like a UX research project, my previous background in social media marketing feeds into the need to always analyze what I do and build on what's working for future success.

I take that philosophy with me into my personal life too. I can often be found in an Atlanta coffeehouse with my trusty journal reflecting on what's working in my life, what's not, and how to make it better.

That's what excites me the most about UX research. The ability to make things that touch our lives, better for the people and businesses that use them.

My friends would tell you that I am a:

UX Researcher

I love learning and practicing user-based experience design. It scratches my mental itch for psychology, analysis and creativity all at the same time. I studied at General Assembly and after almost 5 years in the field, I continue to be a life-long learner.

Silver Screen Fan

Come Oscar time I'm the one darting in and out of movie theaters catching all the Best Picture nominees. I also act on the small screen (and stage) from time to time.

Local Eater

I had no idea what culinary delights awaited me when I first moved to Atlanta but it sure is fun taste testing what Atlanta chefs are cooking.

City Explorer

One of my favorite pastimes is people-watching. Often I’m communing with nature along the Beltline or any of Atlanta's charming green spaces. You can also find me tossing out suggestions during an Atlanta improv show on the weekends.
